Sorry

I apologize for not posting pictures. You would think that since I was home for 7 weeks I would have been able to keep up on it, but nope. I will be better and at least get the bear pictures every month on time. And with that will come any pictures I have missed to keep everyone up to date.

Potty Training

I do not have any pictures for this, as I am sure you are thankful. We finally got Kennedie peeing in the potty, and now are working on number 2. She is getting better, but we have had to buy some incentive toys. We have some for going pee, but she doesn't really need them anymore (occasionally she will ask for a toy for going pee). The doctor said she will go in her own time, but that some parents have gotten different "poop toys" to encourage their child to go. It has worked so far. We are soon on our way to having our first child out of diapers!

Bear Picture 3 months

Mikah is getting so big. He is awake more, although he doesn't sleep great during the day. Lots of short naps, with an occasional long one, but usually not longer than an hour. We are lucky to get a 2 hour nap in, and that usually happens when we go somewhere in the car. He is a happy baby--only crying when he is hungry, tired, or hurt. When he gets up in the night to eat, he cries til we come to get him, then gives us a great big grin. He is laughing and is so much fun to watch.

Mikah Eating

This is actually the 2nd time we gave Mikah cereal. The first time was not successful at all. I decided to try again while he was awake and happy. He did fine but kept putting his hands in the way of his mouth, just to make it a bit more difficult. He only had a couple bites, but it was an improvement from the first time.

Waiting

We were headed out one day and getting things together when we looked outside and saw Kennedie sitting on a bag of recycling. We had to recreate the moment for a picture, but it was worth it.

Bath Time!

We bought this set of foam letters and numbers that go in the bath. They stick to the tub when they are wet. Kennedie loves spelling with them, and is actually learning some of her letters and getting them right. She sometimes gets confused and calls letters numbers, but she is 2 1/2. What can I expect?!

Mikah loves his baths! This is the first time the kids were in the tub together. Kennedie just decided that she needed to climb in and help Mikah with his letters. Mikah wasn't so sure about it. He doesn't quite know what he got himself into with Kennedie as a sister.

Helping Daddy Paint

Kennedie loves to help Daddy do anything. Whatever Daddy is doing, Kennedie wants to be right next to him doing it too. We are repainting the house, one room at a time. We started in Mikah's room and we needed to get it done, because it had been out of commission for 3 weeks. So one night Jer was finishing and Kennedie wanted to help. She needed tape like Daddy, and a roller to paint. What a great helper! Even Mikah helped--he supervised!

Bear Picture 2 Months

Mikah was being stiff that day, and not really cooperating with us, but we did the best we could. He is getting so big! The doctor called him fat, and then asked what happened to his neck. But Mikah is healthy and growing great.

Mikah Smiling

Mikah started smiling around 1 month, but this was the first time we could get a picture of it. He is about 2 months in these pictures.

Kennedie Feeding Mikah

Kennedie first wanted to feed Mikah around New Year's when Grandma Suzie, Grandpa Tubby, and Blake were down to visit. Then, again when Grandma Suzie came for Mikah's blessing. Now she just wants him to be done so they can play.

First Trip to the Park

Kennedie loves playing at the park. She would go to the park everyday if she could and spend all day there. Especially if she got to ride in the stroller to the park.

Well, one day during my maternity leave, we decided to go to the park. It was a beautiful day. A slight breeze, but other than that it was fantastic. We think Mikah enjoyed it, but he definitely didn't like the wind.

Kennedie and Mikah

Kennedie loves her little brother. Here are a few pictures of them just hanging out.
Kennedie wants Mikah to be wherever she is, or she wants to be wherever he is.She is also sharing with him. This is her cupcakes that she can draw on. I came in to find him with a cupcake and a marker.

1st Bear Picture

We are taking pictures of Mikah each month next to a bear to show how he is growing. This is his very first one, just a few days after he was born. He is so tiny, but look at those cheeks!
