Leave me alone...I'm eating

Kennedie loves her oatmeal. We can't feed it to her fast enough. She tries to help us out by grabbing the bowl and reaching for the spoon.

Snow Day!

It was a snow day on Thursday so I got to stay home and play with Kennedie. (There was about 3 inches on the ground and they called a snow day.) We put Kennedie in her snow suit and we went out to play. She was mesmerized by the snow. She didn't like how cold it was though.

Rolling Over!

On Sunday, December 14th, Kennedie rolled over for the first time. I had put her on her tummy and then I look over and she is on her back. Jer was up sleeping (he works graveyards), so I went up and got him. She rolled over for him too. I then had to send a text to let everyone know she was rolling over. We are so excited she is starting to move more. She is now starting to roll to her side from her back and she is so close to rolling onto her tummy as well. Way to go Kennedie!

WOW! 5 Months Old!

Kennedie is now 5 months old. She is growing so fast. She is starting to talk to us more and is squealing with delight...literally. She chews on everything! She lifts up her legs and is starting to pull off her socks. It is so much fun sharing how she is changing and keeping you up to date.

Ready to go outside

We bought Kennedie a hat so she can stay warm. Isn't she cute?!!

Thankful for...

Jeramie wanted Kennedie to enjoy her first Thanksgiving, so we got Kennedie some sweet potatoes. She wasn't quite sure what to do with them, but did better than expected. We had a good Thanksgiving with the Thompson's. Stephanie and her family came over from Kansas. And Ami's family came down from Ogden. We celebrated Christmas with them while we were all together. It was a lot of fun. We always enjoy spending time with our families.

4 months already!

Kennedie is getting so big. She seems to change everyday. We love to watch her grow and enjoy her big personality. She loves to smile, laugh, and play. She is starting to chew on things because she is starting to teeth (which we know will last for quite a while before any teeth actually come). She chomps on our fingers and we found some small teething rings that she loves to chew on.

Happy Halloween!

For the week of Halloween, Kennedie had a few costumes so we had to let her be all of them. They were all cute so we didn't have a problem with them. Grandma Thompson got her a punpkin shirt and Grandma Susie got her a pumpkin hat (her head is too big for it). We also found a ghost onsie and a skeleton onsie that glows in the dark. We don't have a picture of the skeleton, so you'll just have to use your imagination. She was a kitty cat for Halloween. Kennedie was able to come with Mommy to school for the parade. She slept through the whole thing! Kaye was a tooth fairy, and dad decided to be a farmer (no pictures of that).

Carving Pumpkins!

We carved pumpkins with our friends Holly and Anthony. Kennedie's pumpkin was a spider and a web. Kaye carved a skeleton and crossbones. Jeramie did a ghost. We are all so proud of our pumpkins.

Have You Noticed?

Kennedie has her ears pierced! If you look back at some of the recent pictures, you can see her beautiful earrings. We went and had her ears pierced in September. She cried for about 45 minutes, but she has done well with them since.

My First Attempt

Today we started Kennedie on rice cereal. She wasn't sure what to do or what was going on. She liked it because it tasted like formula, but she was confused. Her hands kept getting in the way and she wouldn't move them which made it hard to feed her. She got it all over the place and got mad because she wasn't getting her food fast enough. We then gave her a bottle and she scarffed that down in about 2 minutes.

A Day at the Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch with our friends, Holly & Anthony and thier 2 boys, Tyson and Tanner. There was a petting zoo and then we went on a hayride to the pumpkin patch. The pumpkins were not so good pickins but we got some good pictures and had a good time.

Just lounging out!

We bought a Bumbo chair for Kennedie. She sits in it, but she starts to slump over so we have to watch her. She holds her head up pretty well, and she is starting to hold onto things and play with them.

She's getting Bigger!

Kennedie is starting to smile and laugh! We love to watch her and see how much she changes everyday.

Relaxing in Richfield

We went to Richfield the end of September. Jer's aunt and uncle own the KOA there. We stayed in a cabin and had a great time just relaxing.

Kennedie is Growing Fast!!!

Kennedie at 2 months. She is getting so big. She is starting to smile at us, and we even get an occasional laugh. We went to her 2 month check up and she weighed 10 1/2 pounds! She had to get 3 shots, which she didn't like at all. Kennedie loves her baths and she lets us know when it's time. It's so much fun to watch her change!

Kennedie at 1 month

Here is Kennedie's picture when she was 1 month. Sorry it's late.

At the Fair

We went to the fair and watched the demolition derby.

Say Cheese!

This was one of Kennedie's first smiles. She smiles a lot and we love to watch her make all sorts of faces.

Helping Mom Out

Jer brought Kennedie's laundry downstairs to be washed and there was a surprise in the basket!

Watch Me Grow!

Every month we are going to take Kennedie's picture next to this bear and see how much she grows.

Bathing in the Blue Tub

Kennedie loves her baths now. She just lays in the tub moving and kicking. She doesn't like getting out though.

Kennedie's First Bath

Kennedie did not enjoy her sponge baths. But she did like having her hair washed.

Coming Home

We brought an outfit to bring Kennedie home in, but it didn't fit quite as well as we thought it would. But we still think she is adorable! She loves to ride in her car seat, but not getting into it.

Kennedie Jaye

Kennedie Jaye was born on July 10th. We are so excited to have her here. The pregnancy went well until about week 37. We went to our appointment and the doctor wanted to do some testing for preeclamsia/toxemia because of the testing they do their in the office. I had to do a 24 hour urine test (oh what fun that was!). And then I had to do some blood work. The doctor called me on Monday the 7th to tell me the blood work came back normal but they had not received the other results. On Wednesday, we went in for our regular appointment and the doctor told us the test came back and the numbers for the protein in my urine were extremely high. Normal is about 300, mine were at 6000! The doctor asked if we wanted to have a baby that day. Of course we did! We had Kennedie early Thursday morning. The doctor wanted to be very aggressive with getting her here as soon as they could without doing a c-section if possible. The doctor came in about 4 am to have me start pushing. They had to bring in the vacuum to help get her out, but everything went well. She was born at 4:26 am. She weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. She has light brown hair and it looks like it might be curly like her mom's. She is the most beautiful baby!!
