We put up our Christmas trees and Kennedie loves the lights. When she wakes up and comes down stairs, the first thing we have to do is turn on the lights. She stares at the lights and touches them and tells us about them. She loves seeing the Christmas lights in the neighborhood. Every night when we come home, she has to go see the lights at the neighbor's house. We took her to the Temple to see the lights and she wanted to climb the stairs. It was cold and the stairs are made of granite. She did enjoy the lights and seeing the nativity.

Taking a break at Beaver
On the way home from Grandma Suzie's, we had to stop at Beaver to give Kennedie a break. We stopped at the McDonald's and let her play in the play area. She loved climbing in and seeing Dad at the end of the tunnel, but then she couldn't figure out how to turn around and go back to the beginning. Jer had to go in after her, and she eventually figured it out.
The Holidays at Grandma Suzie's
We went up to Roy for Thanksgiving and had so much fun catching up and being with family. Kennedie was sick the first few days, so she didn't really warm up to anyone. But she still had fun we think. While we were up, Grandma Suzie made edible turkeys with the kids. Kennedie just wanted to cookies, so we gave her one. Of course they were covered with chocolate and she loved them!
Hair do's for Kennedie
I decided I should take some pictures of Kennedie's hair when it gets done so I have a reference for me when I need ideas for how to do her hair. She loves getting her hair done, especially at the babysitters. She knows right where to find all the bows and clips. The first ones were done by her babysitter, and the last one is done by me. Sorry the picture isn't that great. Kennedie doesn't hold still anymore for anything except for when she sleeps, and even that is questionable...
Kennedie's early Christmas present
We ordered these "Nemo" figurines online and when we finally got them, we couldn't wait until Christmas to give them to Kennedie. She loves them and carries them around whenever she discovers them again in her toy box. We could always rewrap them for Christmas, she isn't going to know any different, right?
Happy Halloween!
We couldn't decide what to dress Kennedie up as for Halloween. We saw some costumes online, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend $30 for a costume we will probably end up using only once. So when we discovered her hair could be put into ponytails, we decide to make her a ladybug for Halloween and use the pig tails as her antenna. I ended up making the wings and they actually turned out really cute.
We went to a Halloween party a few days before Halloween and dressed Kennedie up. She had fun and loved the rocks there. Katie, the hostess, loves to throw parties. She had a scaveger hunt all set up and then a few games for the kids. It was a blast!
On Halloween we went and visited Grandma Dawn. Kennedie loved eating the popcorn and then getting some to feed to her dog, Milo. Kennedie loves dogs until they jump on her, and that's just what Milo loves to do. But Kennedie still fed him popcorn from a safe distance. One for Kennedie, one for Milo.

We then went to Grandma Bonnie's house and played there for a while, then it was time for bed. Trick-or-treating doesn't mean a lot to a 1-year-old. But when we got home we did go to one of our neighbor's houses to get a picture of Kennedie trick-or-treating.
Pig Tails!
We never thought Kennedie's hair was long enough to put into ponytails or do anything with until I picked Kennedie up one day from the babysitters and her hair was done. Since then, we try to do it everyday (yes, even Jeramie does her hair sometimes). This is the first time I did her hair and I decided to try pig tails. They turned out so cute and gave the inspiration to have Kennedie dress up as a ladybug for Halloween. She never really kept a headband on so that was not an option and then when we did pig tails we decided those could be her antenna.

A night at the movies with Kennedie!
Here is a picture of Kennedie as she watches movies. It is almost impossible to get her attention away from the movie. We put in a movie the other night before we put Kennedie to bed and here are the pictures. She loves to watch movies, and her favorite is Finding Nemo. We had to hide it for a bit because we needed a break from it. That is about the only movie she sits through almost the entire thing. She now goes to the movie cabinet and points through the window to the movies and then tries to open the door. She then picks one and looks at the cover to see if that is really the one she wants. We might be in trouble later when she figures out how to open the movie cabinet.
Kennedie's first trip to Vegas!
We decided to go to Vegas during my Labor day break. We went to Bass Pro Shop and Kennedie liked the animals. (She loves the animals when we go to Sportsman's too.) It is connected to a casino that has a HUGE fish tank and Kennedie loved looking at all the fish. She kept walking around it trying to see all the fish. She would also look at us and then point to the fish. Sorry they aren't the best pictures, but Kennedie kept moving and the lighting wasn't the greatest either.
SPAGHETTI-O's!
Kennedie's First Haircut!
Wow! I can't believe we have had to get Kennedie's hair cut already. We got it done in August, but we haven't posted it yet. Her hair was getting a little long, but we only needed to get the back cut and trimmed up. It is now starting to come in thicker and getting longer. My favorite picture is the one with Tate in it. His look shows just how concerned he is about her.
Family Reunion with Grandma Morrey
We went up to Orem for our Morrey family reunion and had tons of fun. We love spending time with family and catching up with cousins. Kennedie loved playing with her cousins and also the other kids there (I don't know what step of cousins she is to them). Even though it was August, it was pretty cold that night. But Kennedie and I had our jackets, Jer had to fend for himself.

Camping in Richfield
We went to Richfield for a family reunion with Kaye's family. It was great to relax with everyone and see each other again (because the only time we can really count on is at Thanksgiving or Christmas). Kennedie loved playing with her cousins and especially loved Roy & Kim's air mattress they brought out for Sophie to lay down on during the day. It was a great time and look forward to next summer's trip.
While we were there, we went to Fish Lake. Jeramie brought his fishing pole just for fun. He wasn't expecting to catch a fish since all the kids were throwing rocks into the lake, but the next thing he knew his pole was moving and he had a fish!
Happy Birthday Kennedie!
It has been a great year and it is amazing how much Kennedie has grown and changed. We had a party for her and invited friends over for a bbq. Ami, Chase, and Milee were down for a visit and it was great to have them here to share this time with us. Kennedie loves Mickey Mouse, so we ordered a cake for her with him on it. She loved it, but wasn't sure what to do with the cake. She stuck one finger in and scraped off the frosting. Carolyn got in to help and Kennedie got frosting all over Carolyn's black shirt. Kennedie was tired so she rubbed icing all over her face. We got her in the bath (which she normally likes), and she screamed through the entire thing. She loved opening her presents, and enjoys playing with them more. She loves them all!
And we even got a picture of Grandpa (who hates getting his picture taken)! He was reading her new book with her and we couldn't pass up that picture moment!
We love the personality she brings to our home, and it is so much fun to watch her grow and change.
1 Year already!
Here is her bear picture. We can't really keep her still so this is the best we could get. She is all over the place and is walking. WOW! Time sure does fly. She started walking between Jer and I about a week before she turned one, and then a week after her birthday, she is walking with more balance.
A week at Grandma Suzie's
Kennedie and I went and spent a week with Grandma Suzie. Kennedie had a blast and I really enjoyed having a break from the regular routine. Jeramie had a great time with out us too...he went golfing almost everyday (he golfs on the city courses for free). He missed us, but not changing dirty diapers!
Kennedie loves to read and Blake was great! She loves reading the same books over and over. Blake did all the sounds and Kennedie loved it.
Grandma Suzie let Kennedie play with some marbles she had and Kenendie loved to put them in her mouth. She did also like to put them in the jar, but she usually had one in her mouth at the same time.

We got to visit with Grandma & Grandpa Tubbs. We went out to visit them but they weren't home, so we shared an icecream. They came over that night to visit. Kennedie wasn't quite sure, but then Grandpa showed her the chimes in the backyard and she kept going to him to hear the chimes.
We also got to visit with Grandma & Grandpa Nelson. Grandma made a cake and we had some icecream to go with it. Kennedie loved it. Grandma also gave Kennedie her birthday present while we were there. It was a magnet board with a couple magnets. Kennedie loves it!
One day we went to the park and invited Ami, Chase, & Milee and Elise, Adelyn, & Hadley. It was a lot of fun. Kennedie stole a chicken nugget from Hadley, and Adelyn and Chase played with sticks and muddy water. Milee found a dirt patch and sat in it. Sounds like fun right?!
Kennedie loved Grandma Suzie's chimes. There were some in the kitchen and some outside. Anywhere we went Kennedie saw them and wanted to touch them. She points everywhere, so she would let us know which chime she wanted to touch and listen to. Thanks Joni for helping Kennedie play the chimes.
She especially liked the clock that plays music every hour. She loved to push the button and make it play.
Thanks for letting us come! And next year we will have to visit when Elsie and Sophie are down so we can play.
